How can I get possession of my rented property?

As landlord you can use https://www.possessionclaim.gov.uk (under Section I of Part 55) against a residential tenant so long as:

• the claim is made solely on the ground of arrears of rent, and
  • the claim does not include a claim for forfeiture of a lease
  • it does not include a claim for any other remedy except for payment of arrears of rent or money due, interest and costs
  • you have an address for service in the United Kingdom
  • the defendant has an address for service in England and Wales, and
  • you are able to provide a postcode for the property

A claim must not be started online if a defendant is known to be a child or protected party.
